LETTER G

Postby Gill » September 25th, 2008 7:57 pm

Today, I noticed that, in one of your PDF's the Russian letter G was pronounced as a V. Please can someone explain why this is and when this letter is pronounced as which.

I can't find the reason now but I rememmber if the G is stressed it sounds like G but if another sylable is stressed it sounds like V.

Gill, can you quote the word or phrase where you saw G pronounced as V? With an example it will be easier to clear up the question.
