The last lesson of Russian Video lessons stated the word for a desk as Parta. Now, in the next lesson, the word for desk is Pismenny Stol. What is the difference? I assume that one is a school desk and one is an office desk - but the English word is desk. It becomes confusing. Better specification English would be very helpful.

Gill, you are right. Parta is purely a school desk, while Pismenny Stol is an office desk.
