Hi, everybody! It’s me, Katya. Всем привет(Vsem privet)! Welcome to Russia Top Words, today we will be talking about 20 Words You’ll Need for the Beach. Well, get ready for the beach!
1. солнечные очки (solnechnyye achki) “sunglasses”
Нужно купить новые солнечные очки перед отпуском. (Nuzhna kupit' novyye solnechnyye achki peret otpuskam.)
“I need to buy new sunglasses before the vacation.”
2. пляж (plyash) “beach”
Ah! Весь день пролежал бы на пляже! (Ves' den' pralezhal by na plyazhe!) “I could be laying here on the beach all day!”
If a woman would like to say the same sentence you should say,
я Весь день пролежал бы на пляже. (Ya ves' den' pralezhala by na plyazhe!)
3. плавать (plavat') “swim”
Пойдём поплаваем? (Paydyom paplavayem?) “Let's go swimming?”
4. солнце (sontse) “sun”
Солнце вышло из-за туч. (Sontse vyshla iz-za tuch.) “The sun came out from the clouds.” Nice! Wonderful!
5. пальма (pal'ma) “palm tree”
Он устроился в тени под пальмой. (On ustroilsya f teni pat pal'may.)
“He settled down under a palm tree in the shade.”
6. ракушка (rakushka) “seashell”
На берегу было полно ракушек. (Na veregu byla palno rakushek.) “The shore was full of seashells.”
7. купальник (kupal'nik) “swimsuit”
Какой у тебя красивый купальник! (Kakoy u tebya krasivyy kupal'nik!) “What a beautiful swimsuit!”
8. океан (akean) “ocean”
Мы с мужем решили провести отпуск у океана. (My s muzhem reshyli pravesti otpusk u akeana.)
“My husband and I decided to spend a holiday by the ocean.”
9. cпасатель (spasatel') “lifeguard”
Он летом работал спасателем на пляже. (On letam rabotal spasatelem na plyazhe.
“He worked as a lifeguard on the beach in the summer.”
10. гидроцикл (gidratsykl) “jet ski’
Давай покатаемся на гидроцикле! (Davay pakatayemsya na gidratsykle!) “Let's ride a jet ski!”
11. пляжное полотенце (plyazhnaye palatentse) “beach towel”
Не забудь взять с собой пляжное полотенце. (Ne zabut' vzyat' s saboy plyazhnaye palatentse.) “Ne zabut' vzyat' s saboy plyazhnaye palatentse.”
12. шезлонг (shezlonk) “beach chair”
Она сидела в шезлонге и читала книгу. (Ana sidela v shezlonge i chitala knigu.) “She was sitting in a beach chair reading a book.”
13. замок из песка (zamak is peska) “sand castle”
The castle made of the sand.
Дети строят замки из песка. (Deti stroyat zamki is peska.) “Children are building sand castles.”
14. холодильник (khaladil'nik) “cooler”
Давайте возьмём с собой холодильник с пивом. (Davayte vaz'myom s saboy khaladil'nik s pivam.)
“Let's take a cooler with beer.”
15. прилив и отлив (prilif i atlif) “tide”
You should be careful with прилив (prilif) is a tide when the water is coming back, and отлив (atlif) is when the water goes away. So it’s different two different types of tides in Russian.
Луна влияет на приливы и отливы. (Luna vliyayet na prilivy i atlivy.) “Tides are affected by the moon.”
16. загар (zagar) “tan”
У тебя потрясающий загар! (U tebya patryasayushchiy zagar!) “You have a stunning tan!”
17. волна (valna) “wave”
Лодку качало на волнах. (Lotku kachala na volnakh.) “The boat was swinging on the waves.”
18. шлёпанцы (shlyopantsy) “flip-flops”
Он был в шлёпанцах, словно только что вернулся с пляжа. (On byl f shlyopantsakh, slovna tol'ka shto vernulsya s plyazha.)
“He was wearing flip-flops as if he'd just come back from the beach.”
19. солнцезащитный крем (sontsezashchitnyy krem) “sunscreen”
солнцезащитный крем (sontsezashchitnyy krem) means the cream that’s protecting you from the sun. Now, let’s see the example:
Чтобы не сгореть на солнце, обязательно используйте солнцезащитный крем. (Shtoby ne sgaret' na sontse, abyazatel'na ispol'zuyte sontsezashchitnyy krem.) “Be sure to use sunscreen in order not to get a sunburn.”
20. бикини (bikini) “bikini”
Посмотри на ту девушку в красном бикини! (Pasmatri na tu devushku v krasnam bikini!) "Look at that girl in the red bikini!"
