What is the difference between the two words for notebook - bloknot and tetrad?

Тетрадь is like a blank bound book of paper to write in.
The other is a portable computer.

In a Russian speaking country I have visited in the past, I went to purchase a notebook - a little spiral writing pad and it was called a Bloknot.

Perhaps the блокнот I came across was a nick-name or trade name for a portable computer. Katzner dictionary says " Блокнот - note pad" rather than notebook.
