| In this lesson, we'll learn about a place crucial to travelers in this modern age, the Internet Café. In Russian, Internet café is "internet cafe". Let`s break it down by syllable: in-ter-net ca-fe, internet cafe. |
| There are many Internet cafes located throughout the cities. So finding one shouldn't be a problem. However, so that things go smoothly once inside, I will guide you through the Internet cafe experience. |
| In Russia, when you walk into the store, approach the reception desk and tell them what you are here for. For example, you can just say: "Internet", which in Russian would be very easy - "Internet". Or, "Internet, pazhalusta", which is "Internet, please". Usually at the entrance you should just say how long you plan to work on the Internet. So, for example, you can say "10 minutes, 20 minutes" or whatever time you want. I'll give you an example for "10 minutes": "desyat' minut, pazhalusta" - "10 minutes, please", "dvatsat' minut, pazhalusta" - "20 minutes, please". So, usually you pay at the end of the Internet session. |
